Jenny Stevens
Cleopatra Creations
Location: Central Maine
Medium: Hand painted items, varying from glasses to wooden/slate signs.
How I Became A Maker: I wanted to make a rock Bambi for my garden so one day I bought a few cheap prints and found a rock. I painted it to look like a baby deer. Once I posted photos on Facebook a friend reached out for me to do a pet memorial rock of their precious dog. I did and things sky rocketed from there with other pet portraits and special requests. Your support and love is greatly appreciated in the buying of all our local artist. Thank you.

Owen Gray
Boards By Owen
Location: Central Maine
Medium: Wooden nicknacks, charcuterie/cutting boards, coasters
How I Became A Maker: I've worked in a woodshop most of my life and got into making items like this as a pass time and as a way to hone my skills as a craftsman. I'd like to believe that as I've gone through the years the quality of the products I've produced has increased due to little projects like this. I've amassed a small collection of offcuts, rips and generally unusable pieces of wood for normal manufacturing over the years for small projects just like this.

Angie Kelley
Scarrificwarrior
Location: Central Maine
Medium: All organic, all natural products that help bring comfort, happiness, and aid in daily chores with out the worry of toxins.
How I Became A Maker: I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2021. During my treatment, I started making my own products to help with the side effects of the many surgeries and rounds of chemo and to cut down on the toxins in my daily life. I continue to use my products daily and want to share them with others so they, too, may find relief in a non-toxic way. If I don't have something you are looking for, ask! I might be able to make it!

Annette McCoy
EMMSF ~ The Evan McCoy Memorial Scholarship Fund
Location: Central Maine
Medium: Various Crochet Items
How I Became A Maker: After losing my son, Evan, to suicide in 2019, I needed to find something to honor him and keep his memory alive. I created some crochet plant pot holders as a wildflower planting kit to sell at The Not So Empty Nest. Once I got the crochet bug, I ventured out to many different crochet items!
Additional Information: The Evan McCoy Memorial Scholarship Fund has a Facebook page as well as a traveling rock page Evan's Rocks Around The World. Visit these pages to learn Evan's story and see what we have to offer!

How I Became A Maker: Wow! My first experience into the world of jewelry design/making was actually when I was 12 years old and selling my macrame chokers at several shops on the coast of Maine! My painting experiences started as a small child as I was surrounded by both of my folks always painting and crafting! In all those years I've never stopped being a maker!

Broderick Alley & Jennifer Ciappetta
The Fishermen's Pottery
Location: Downeast Maine
Medium: Clay
How We Became A Maker: It all started when my mother wanted me to take an Adult Ed pottery class with her from Narraguagus Pottery the fall of 2018. The very first class I loved it and she hated it so she quit the class and I talked dad into going with me and he absolutely loved it right from the first class. After a couple more classes we decided to do our first craft fair the winter of 2019 and we have been making pottery ever since. We keep coming up with new ideas and we will also try custom orders.
Additional Information: We are a father/ daughter team lobster fishing and throwing pottery together!
